It helps maintain a healthy weight and improve sleep quality. Additionally, exercise helps teen’s mental health by releasing endorphins and production of stress hormones. It also assists in teens thinking and memory skills.

There is not one specific outline of what exercise teens should be doing. However, if you follow the steps below it will assist in your motivation and adherence to exercise:

  1. Find something that you enjoy

Exercise does not have to be boring. Finding something that you are passionate about and enjoy will make exercising a breeze.

  1. Find something that will help you towards your fitness goals

For example, if your goal is weight loss, make sure that participate in an exercise program that is performed at a higher intensity. You’ll see greater improvements and therefore been encouraged to continue participating in exercise.

 

Pivotal Motion Active Teen Classes

Active Teen Classes: These classes are aimed for adolescents aged 12-18 who are looking to improve their performance in sport, injury recovery or general health. They run Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 5pm and from 5pm to 6pm.
