Our Muscle Strength Testing Equipment – The AxIT System

The axit system is a muscle strength testing and mobility assessment tool used by pivotal motion physiotherapy to give a guideline on how our patients are performing.

Pivotal Motion Physiotherapy is delighted to announce that we have acquired the AXiT system from the Strength by Numbers team. This revolutionary muscle strength testing machine allows us to perform a complete performance assessment on almost any muscle and joint in the body.

The strength and mobility assessment tool metrics include, but are not limited to, maximum strength, maximum power and stability. The tool also allows us to assess the ability of a patient to perform functional movements, including squats, lunges, jumping and push ups (to name a few).

With real time feedback, our innovative mobility and muscle strength testing machine allows us to provide tips and information on exercise modification to ensure the best results and technique.

Furthermore, the real time feedback allows us to track the progress of your conditions both in-session and between sessions.

Our physiotherapist will measure your function at the beginning of your rehabilitation process, giving a baseline measure to compare with subsequent mobility testing assessments. This helps determine the level and degree of recovery. Mobility testing is not strictly limited to rehabilitation, however.

During a training program, athletes often use baseline measures to determine the degree of improvement, and adjust their training parameters accordingly based on the results. The AXiT system allows for both of these aforementioned scenarios to occur, and as such, can be used to great effect in all populations!

Meaningful Strength & Mobility Assessment

At Pivotal Motion Physiotherapy, we are proud to utilise muscle strength testing equipment that will allow for completely tailored physiotherapy treatment. Through using the AxIT System, we can remove any uncertainty in the development of your recovery program, getting you back to your best sooner. If you still have any questions, call the physiotherapist team on the team on 07 3352 5116 or book an appointment online.

Traditional assessments rely on observation, manual testing, and clinical judgement, whereas the AXiT system provides objective, measurable data. This removes guesswork and allows for more precise tracking of your progress that can be compared over time.

No. The testing is safe and tailored to your current ability. While some movements require effort, everything is adjusted to suit your condition, injury stage, and fitness level.

Yes. One of the key benefits of the AXiT system is real-time feedback, so you can immediately see your results and understand what they mean for your training or rehab.

This depends on your goals, but many clients are reassessed every 4 to 8 weeks to track progress and adjust their program accordingly.

In many cases, yes. If the session is delivered by a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, private health rebates may apply depending on your level cover.
