John Kelso is newest exercise physiologist to join the team. John runs the exercise classes, one-on-one consultations and provides insight into the AXiT system available at our Newmarket clinic.

John graduated from Queensland University of Technology as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. In addition to his degree, John brings over 15 years of gym-based experience, understanding of the latest training and testing equipment used in rehabilitation and sports performance, superb technique coaching skills and a warm and friendly personality.

Hailing from Mackay in far North Queensland, John has had a wealth of experience growing up rich humidity and constant thunderstorms. His previous work experiences include civil engineering, underground mining and driving tractors on cane farms just to name a few.

Why did John want to be an exercise physiologist?

After training friends and family in the gym, John decided to change careers and become a certified personal trainer. Training clients one-on-one brought a level of understanding that some patients with chronic conditions required specialised medical advice around exercise in order to live their lives to the fullest. John decided to progress his career and passion of helping clients, by enrolling at QUT and commencing a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology.

His interests include playing squash, fishing, weightlifting, cooking, woodworking and socialising.

If you have a chronic condition or know someone that is looking for evidence-based exercise advice and prescription, book an appointment with John here at Pivotal Motion.
