Pivotal Motion Physiotherapy are happy to welcome back Ben Munro to the Newmarket clinic. Throughout Ben’s travels around Europe and Asia he brings back a wealth of knowledge and experience to assist with pain and injury management.
Born and raised on the north side of Brisbane he completed his schooling at Padua College and was always heavily involved in sport. Following high school, Ben studied and completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition at The University of Queensland in 2012. After this he immediately began studying his Physiotherapy studies at the Australian Catholic University.
Ben has been an integral part of our physiotherapy team for over 5 years. He started working reception during his studies and then got involved in our exercise classes and sports events. He became a staff physiotherapist after his graduation in 2016.
Due to his long relationship with Pivotal Motion Ben was able to hit the ground running after his graduation. With some relationships already made with patients, members of the group classes and sporting teams.
Life and Physio Experience in London
Moving to London in July of 2017, Ben worked within the UK’s NHS public health system before moving back into his preferred private practice setting. During his time overseas, Ben has been exposed to a wide range of conditions in different settings including, post-operative rehabilitation physiotherapy, sporting injuries, chronic injuries, adolescents and athletes of all ages. He is able to draw on his knowledge from all previous studies and varied experiences to give patients a complete well-rounded rehabilitation programs to achieve optimal results.
Travels
Whilst away Ben was lucky enough to travel to many parts of United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and parts of North Africa. Visiting many of the popular hotspots such as Italy, France, Croatia, Spain and Portugal. Aside from this he was able to visit some of the less travelled places, including Russia, Egypt, Turkey, Iceland, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina just to name a few. One of the biggest highlights being a visit to Russia during the football world cup in 2018 and following the Socceroos around for 3 weeks. He loves to have a chat and reminisce about his time overseas so don’t hesitate to ask!!!
Sports
Outside of work and travelling, Ben stays active playing various sports (rugby league, cricket, boxing). Through his studies and working life, he has continued to be involved with local sporting teams by both playing and providing first aid to the junior players. Ben enjoys being a part of the culture and community that local sporting teams provide and looks forward to developing strong relationships with the wider community as a physiotherapist.
