Effective 11 September 2026.
This page explains how Pivotal Motion Physiotherapy Pty Ltd (ABN 21 155 577 834) uses social media, and what you can expect from us there. It applies to the social media accounts we operate.
1. General information only
Anything we post on social media is general information for a general audience. It is not personal health advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan.
Following, liking or messaging one of our accounts does not make you our patient and does not create a practitioner and patient relationship. Our full Clinical Information Disclaimer applies to health information we post.
2. Please do not post personal health information
Social media is public. Please do not post details of your injury, symptoms, treatment or medical history in a comment, or include them in a message to us.
We will not discuss anyone’s individual care on social media. To protect privacy, we will not confirm or deny whether any person is or has been a patient, even if that person has said so themselves.
To talk about your own care, please phone us on (07) 3352 5116 or email admin@pivotalmotion.com.au.
3. Testimonials and reviews
As registered health practitioners we are bound by the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and the Ahpra advertising guidelines. Those rules prohibit the use of testimonials about the clinical aspects of a health service in advertising, and a social media page that a practice controls counts as advertising. The obligation sits with us, not with you.
What that means in practice:
- We will not use comments about the clinical aspects of our services in our advertising, and we will not publish, share, repost or screenshot them.
- We will not offer any discount, gift, entry to a competition or other benefit in exchange for a review or a testimonial.
- The rules require us to remove comments about treatment, recovery or results from pages we control. If we remove something you wrote in good faith, that is why. We are grateful for the sentiment and no offence is intended.
- Where a platform allows it, we turn reviews and recommendations off entirely, for the same reason.
We do not control review platforms such as Google, and Google does not allow reviews to be switched off. We cannot remove or edit what people post there, and we will not use those reviews in our advertising.
4. Comments and moderation
We welcome respectful discussion. We may hide, delete or report comments that:
- refer to the clinical aspects of treatment, results or recovery, as explained above
- contain personal or health information about any person, including the person posting
- identify a patient, a staff member or a third party without their consent
- are abusive, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory or offensive
- contain health information we consider inaccurate or unsafe
- are spam, promotional or unrelated to the post
If you see a comment on one of our pages that should not be there, including anything about you, please tell us at admin@pivotalmotion.com.au. We will look at it, and where we agree it should come down we will remove it or restrict access to it within 7 days.
We may also block accounts that repeatedly post this material. Removing a comment is not an admission or a denial of anything in it.
5. We are not monitoring around the clock
Our accounts are not monitored continuously and are not a way to get clinical help.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not send us a message and wait for a reply.
Please do not use social media to book, change or cancel appointments, or to ask clinical questions. Contact the clinic directly instead.
6. Other people’s content and the platforms themselves
We do not control the social media platforms, their advertising, their algorithms or their privacy practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Comments and content posted by other people are theirs, not ours, and do not represent our views. Where we link to or share third party content, that is not an endorsement and is not advice to you.
7. Feedback and complaints
If you would like to give us feedback about your experience, we would genuinely like to hear it. Please email admin@pivotalmotion.com.au, where we can act on it properly rather than in a comment thread.
If you would rather raise a concern with someone outside the clinic, you can contact the Office of the Health Ombudsman in Queensland at oho.qld.gov.au or on 133 646. In Queensland that is where health service complaints go, and it works with Ahpra on matters about a registered practitioner’s conduct.
If you are an NDIS participant, you can complain to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time, without coming to us first, at ndiscommission.gov.au.
8. Your rights
Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or under any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
