Effective 11 September 2026.
Pivotal Motion Physiotherapy Pty Ltd (ABN 21 155 577 834) takes the security of your personal and health information seriously. This statement explains, in plain terms, how we protect information you give us through pivotalmotion.physio, and it is honest about what we cannot promise.
What our website holds, and what it does not
Our website is an information and booking site. Your clinical records are not stored on the website. Clinical notes, appointment histories and account records are kept in PracSuite, the practice management system we use to run the clinic.
The website itself collects only what you type into it, such as your name, contact details and the reason for your visit when you make a booking or send an enquiry.
Information in transit
Our website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), so information you send through it is protected while it travels between your device and our systems. You can check this by looking for the padlock in your browser’s address bar.
Payments and your card details
We do not store your card details at the clinic. Payments are processed through Tyro and Commonwealth Bank Smart Health, which are payment services provided by regulated financial institutions. Your card information is handled by those providers and their banking systems. It is not saved on our practice computers and it is not held on our website.
Confidentiality
Our registered practitioners are bound by the confidentiality requirements of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law and by the shared Code of conduct that applies to registered health practitioners.
Our Privacy Policy explains who your information may be shared with, and why.
Email, text messages and web forms are not fully secure
This is the most important practical point on this page. Email, SMS and website forms travel across networks we do not control, and they can be intercepted, misdirected or read by someone else with access to your device or your inbox.
Please do not send detailed clinical information, images of an injury, identity documents, or card numbers by email, text message or website form. If you need to give us something sensitive, phone us on (07) 3352 5116 or bring it to your appointment. If we need something sensitive from you, we will tell you a safe way to provide it.
What we cannot promise
No website, no computer system and no method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, as the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) requires, but we cannot guarantee that the information you send us over the internet will never be intercepted or accessed without authorisation. Anyone who tells you otherwise about their own website is overstating it.
If something goes wrong
If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will act on it. We will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act requires.
If you are an NDIS participant, you can also raise a concern with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time, without coming to us first, at ndiscommission.gov.au.
Helping us keep your information safe
You can help by using a secure device and network when you book online, keeping your own email account protected, telling us promptly if your contact details change, and checking your appointment confirmations are correct.
Reporting a security concern
Please contact us straight away if you think there is a security problem with our website. Do the same if you receive a message that claims to be from us and looks suspicious, or if you believe your information may have been affected.
