More about Michael O’Flynn
Michael was born and bred on Brisbane’s south side, and spent most of his childhood at various sporting grounds. He completed high-school at Churchie, and represented them in football, cricket and tennis. His passion for health and fitness led him to completing and exercise physiology degree at QUT. He underwent knee surgery for a footballing injury in 2011, which only strengthened his desire to become a physiotherapist and help others in the same predicament.
After he completed his Master of Physiotherapy in 2013, he worked in Sydney for a few years before making his way over to the UK.
In the UK he spent time broadening his physiotherapy experience in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Newcastle and Reading. Amongst many European trips over a two year period, he also fulfilled a lifelong dream of watching Liverpool Football Club play in the Premier League.
Michael has continued his passion of lifelong health and fitness. When he’s not in clinic, he spends a lot of time in the gym, on the running track, and watching sport. He is also an avid snowboarder and has been on multiple trips to France, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.
Michael revels in being able to help people get back to doing what they do best. Whether you’re an average Joe or an athlete, nothing gives Michael more pleasure than helping someone to become pain-free. He has special interests in knees, ankles, lower back and neck injuries, having encountered many of these himself. Amongst various hands on techniques, he enjoys helping people become stronger and resilient to help manage and prevent future musculoskeletal injuries. Michael gives insight to the AXiT system that is currently available at our Newmarket practice.
